 Adrianna Antonette
Freelance Baker
&
Co Event Planner

The smell of fresh baked cakes and muffins brings me back to early saturday mornings at my grandmother's house. As a child I looked forward to spending the weekends with my beautiful grandmother. She ran her baking business from home, and from Friday mornings to late Sunday nights she was overbooked with orders. Although she was exhausted by the time Sundays would get here, we were ecstatic! For my sisters, cousins and I this meant we would be in sweet heaven for the WHOLE WEEKEND! Now what young kid would not love that? I would help her prepare her famous home made vanilla cake batter. We were the best taste testers. One of my all time favorites is her vanilla cake with lemon zest and pineapple filling. AMAZING. I remember how I would sit for hours watching her decorate these beautiful creations. The best part was seeing the smile on the face of the bride or mother to be, the child who was excited to turn six years old or the recent college graduate. The moment they laid their eyes on the cake, they were mesmerized and for that brief silent moment I would just stare at them in their moment of amazement and happiness. I remember I use to think how fulfilling that must have been for my grandmother, to have people show her such genuine appreciation and love for her work.

When I approached my teenage years, I started to venture out on my own baking escapades. I would volunteer to bake for school fundraisers, friend's birthdays and family functions. At one point I became frustrated because I felt lost and did not know how to keep myself interested in perfecting my passion. People seem to have lost interest, my grandmother did not have the same tolerance as she did when I was younger, and soon the idea in itself faded away.

But about 3 years ago, I fell in love all over again. For Christmas I got my own mixer, and soon enough I developed my own hobby. During my down time I would disappear to the kitchen and lose myself in the art of baking. Every other week I was trying different recipes and advertising my work. I would practice my frosting techniques and create new cupcake flavors with my sister. It was at that moment that I felt that same connection. I had come to realize I'm a lot more like my grandma then I actually knew or even realized. That for me was my motivation to make this dream come true. It's a resemblance of the love that my grandmother and I share.

Now on my journey in rediscovering my passion I was blessed with an amazing opportunity. One of my dearest friends, Sasha Belle, came to me with a fabulous idea to become partners in order to create a wonderful business that portrays the talents of a baker and event planner. We decided to let our creativity, beauty, class and passion for life take over this idea and help others create life long memories. For us it is about embracing celebration and bringing the party vision to a real life event.

Don't be shy and don't take away your moment to celebrate....we dare you to celebrate!!

Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and
the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind.
Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams"
